You've Got The Fuel, I've Got The Burn: In My Youngblood!

Been back in the fairest Cape for almost a month now. Yep, its that time of year again: time to learn stuff.Heading into week 3 of school and I think I'm getting back into the swing of things.


 And you know what I've come to realise? As much as we complain about how hectic it is to be a student we've got it really good. Sure, it gets tough from time to time but at least we don't have to pay income tax yet.

I think now I'm finally starting to understand why people always say that university was one of the best times of their life. Waking up when you want to, making mistakes, changing degrees, wearing whatever you want, eating a packet of Simba chips for dinner because you don't have food in your fridge; meeting new people almost every weekend,  and pulling all nighters. And our excuse for it all is that we're young.

So lets live it up and make the most of this time while we're still young. For reals though, I now get why there is a store called Forever 21. Its a pretty fun age.

Meatless Mondays: Double post Rebel edition

I lied.

Lets get serious for a minute. You know how I said I was just 'taking a break' ( in the 'I'm a rebel post below) cause I havent posted on the blog in a while? Well I lied.

The truth is that someone broke the MOST important muscle in my body and I just didn't feel like blogging. But I recently took a trip to South Africa's beautiful North Coast and just had fun.Went a bit cray cray ( well, my own version of it) and forgot all my worries. Hung out with some 18 year olds on their matric vac who just reminded of what an awesome sense of humor I'm blessed with and how I just cant turn it off. No matter how much I'm not feeling it.

So thats the truth. The voices in my head have just been sceaming to get out. And this is what they have to say:

Its meatless monday today!

I'm assuming you all know what meatless monday is. No? Well it's the one day of the week wen you hit up every meal vegitarian style cause apparently meat is bad for you. It may be bad but it tastes sooo good.

This will be the first week that I give it a try. Might be tough cause eating meat is kinda something I dont reallly think about; I just do it. Now that I think about it, I eat meat almost everyday. So I think this would be something itresting to attempt.

So come on boys and girls, lets get it! Even through there are more chickens on this earth than humans [ which is kinda scary cause they could cause some major trouble if they ganged up together] but hey; it's worth a shot!

So, whats up with everybody? Whats the 411? What has everybody been up to? What's the hot gossip? Tell me everything. What have you guys been listening to? What are the cool jams? HAHA, gotta love mean girls.

But seriously how have the hols [ dont you hate people who unnecessarily shorten words?] been? What did you do last weekend? Do you wanna know what I did? Cleaned up dead animals that my cousins' dogs had killed. Yep, they just kept pilling up. It literally took us like 30 minutes to clean up one of their unfortunate victims cause we were scared to go near it. Hehe. We're suuuuch girls.
They're hunting dogs, so its in their nature. But you know how dogs are: They feel the need to bring you everything they have found so they can show you, like you should be proud. Ugh. I was traumatized.

Have you ever noticed that when its the holidays and you're really hungry and you go to the fridge and you don't find anything to eat and then you leave the kitchen then two minutes later you're back like the contents of the fridge will have changed by then. Lol. I feel like that didn't really make a lot of grammatical sense but you get the point, right? Even if you don't, just act like you do. I've noticed that it also happens with holiday TV viewing cause I'll scroll through all the channels looking for something to watch and not find anything bit then a few seconds later I scroll through the exact same channels still not finding anything to watch. Sigh.

Okay. Thats all I have to say.Stay fresh boys and girls!

I'm A Joburg Girl, I May Take Some Getting Used To

Huh? Whats that you say? Oh exams are over? That's right, its vac!! Well, for all the cool kids any way :). Cant wait to get back to Jozi! This is how they made me: Sandton, Jouburg baybay! But seriously, what are all you kids doing for the next couple of weeks? Gonna sit on the couch an eat, with the only form of exercise being you lifting your finger to change the channel and walking to the fridge? Hahaha, you just totally saw yourself doing that didn't you? Don't even feel bad bout it! Its winter so its allowed cause we're like bears we have to eat a lot and hibernate for the winter!

Well I don't know about you but I was totally just gonna take one whole day to just sit and loaf and watch the entire series of Gossip Girl from season 1 to season 5! Maybe even mix in a little Greys Anatomy. And the rest of the time I'll be busy working on this HUGE project I have for the blog. You guys are gonna love it! I think. And even if you don't I'm  still gonna do it anyway cause this is my blog! Thats right. I'm the editor-director, plus I'm my own boss. Gonna be posting so much you're gonna get sick of me.

So did you notice the new theme? Awesome right? I just thought I would brighten the place up a lil bit just to warm you up in these cold winter months. And while we're on the subject, have you ever noticed how some people are always like "This is awkward" when there is an awkward situation? Come on! You saying that doesn't make it any less awkward, it actually just perpetuates it. What happened to those days when everyone just thought quietly to themselves how awkward the situation was and then run off and tell somebody when its over. Have some decorum people.
