It's A Countdown. Like Beyonce's...But Better!

Thats right, Beyonce : better. So ever since I was fourteen my birthday has been bittersweet for me. My birthday is always near/ during exams so when I countdown to my birthday I'm basically counting down to exams. And now I'm turning 21.

I'm actually excited to turn 21. Twenty has been a tough year. You know; its that awkward year between being a teenager and a full adult. Now that I'm almost at this important milestone in ones life ( not quite sure why though) I find myself reflecting on my two decades here. If I could go back in time and tell the younger me something I would tell little me not to worry so much. And to probably eat more vegetables ( or something like that). I would also tell myself to enjoy being a kid more cause growing up isn't as fun as we thought it would be.

I have lived and seen places that most people only dream of in my seemingly long ( but not actually) life. I've eaten chips with yourhurt, dirt and ants ( they're sour). I've danced in the rain and played in the London snow. I've seen what the world looks like through my fuzzy/blurry vision and I've seen it in high definition with my contact lenses ( amaze's me every time). I've made friends for life and lost friends that I  never thought I would in my life.  I've loved, I've stumbled; I've failed and  I've succeeded. I've cried, and smiled; never broken my bones but I've gotten stitches. I've been short and tall. I've been bald and had long hair. I've had everything and nothing.

But most of all I've laughed. And sometimes all you can really do is laugh. Like when you write a test and everyone comes out laughing cause you all know you just failed. Haha. And through it all I've been blessed.

Graduating from being a kid!
So heres to counting down to exams and my birthday. 9 DAYS...it better be awesome. Or else.
Stay fresh!

With My Head Held High I'll Buck Alone, If It Breaks My Body or Breaks my bones!

So, whats up with everybody? Whats the 411? What has everybody been up to? What's the hot gossip? Tell me everything. What have you guys been listening to? What are the cool jams? HAHA, gotta love mean girls.

But seriously how have the hols [ dont you hate people who unnecessarily shorten words?] been? What did you do last weekend? Do you wanna know what I did? Cleaned up dead animals that my cousins' dogs had killed. Yep, they just kept pilling up. It literally took us like 30 minutes to clean up one of their unfortunate victims cause we were scared to go near it. Hehe. We're suuuuch girls.
They're hunting dogs, so its in their nature. But you know how dogs are: They feel the need to bring you everything they have found so they can show you, like you should be proud. Ugh. I was traumatized.

Have you ever noticed that when its the holidays and you're really hungry and you go to the fridge and you don't find anything to eat and then you leave the kitchen then two minutes later you're back like the contents of the fridge will have changed by then. Lol. I feel like that didn't really make a lot of grammatical sense but you get the point, right? Even if you don't, just act like you do. I've noticed that it also happens with holiday TV viewing cause I'll scroll through all the channels looking for something to watch and not find anything bit then a few seconds later I scroll through the exact same channels still not finding anything to watch. Sigh.

Okay. Thats all I have to say.Stay fresh boys and girls!

futcHAHA child out! (still works for me!)

Remamber that time when you were 3 years, 2 months, one day and 4 hours old?

You know those times when you see relatives you haven't seen since you were a little kid and they just some how think you'll remember them? Well I recently had one of those moments with my uncle who used to look after my cousin and I when we were young. He looked at me expectantly and asked if I remembered him; pointing to his 3 year old daughter sand saying the last time he saw me I was her age. That's a weird question, don't you think? Obviously it serves as an ice breaker for long lost relatives but what I wanna know is: does anyone really remember anything from when they were near that age? Cause  I'm 20 now so I don't remember anyone/ anything from 17 years ago...

Then again, I cant even remember what I ate for lunch yesterday ( should I be concerned about that?) and I can barely remember first year. But after I saw him that day, I remembered a faded memory from when I was a little three years old and I ran across a busy highway with my cousin( yea, those were the days when kids could reoam  around where ever they wanted). A man chased us down and brought us to safety. That man was my long lost uncle who I did somewhat remember... its funny what comes to you right before you fall asleep.

Forever Young, I Wanna Be Forever Young...

So my mom comes home last night to find me enthusiastically watching Disney Channel and she was like "You still watch this?!". Yea I still watch this . "Isn't this for babies?"...um, no? Its not like I was watching CBeebies ( Okaaaaay. Fine. I'll admit that at those times when there is really NOTHING to watch I swing by this channel. You know those times, right? ).

I love Disney! Some of the shows are funny and as long as the age restriction is 'FAM' and not '15 and younger' I'm gonna keep watching! Sonny With A Chance- love it( Chad Dylan Copper: need I say more?)! Good Luck Charlie- one of my faves. So Random, Phineas and Ferb,The Emperor's New School, the list goes on.  In my opinion kids shows nowadays  have adult humour that most kids wont get. So really there's just big kids like me left to appreciate the shows humour.

Besides, if I don't nurture my inner child shes gonna die. And nobody wants that. Like Mr. Hudson said "I wanna be forever young!"

heres a lovely P 'n F song thats been stuck in my head!

Man, They Dont Make Them Like This Anymore

Remember that old cartoon 'Cow And Chicken' that used to play on  Cartoon Network? Well I've always wondered about the theme song: "Mama had a chicken! Mama had a cow! Dad was proud, he didn't care how!!" ...um what? "Dad" may not care but I do! A cow? Seriously? If mama was really able to push a cow out of her self then she should be commended cause you certainly do not see that everyday!

Funny thing is I never actually thought the song was weird when I was a kid. Remember all those other shows from way back when like Peppre Ann, Marsupilami and Bananas In Pyjamas? Some of my other favourites were The Amanda Show, The Romeo Show, All That, Lizzie McGuire and Kenan And Kel. But no one seems to remember that one show Cousin Skeeter ( the one with the puppet)!

Those were the days... now i feel old. Yep, they sure dont make them like this anymore.

Like A Boy?

Recently one of my moms friends looked at a photo of me when i was younger and said "Oh! Is that your cousin Patrick?" and I said "No!" quite sannoyed" Its me". So what if my hair was really short like a boys, most kids dont even have hair at that age right? maybe im just trying to make myself feel better... I guess I have the last laugh now cause my hair is longer than all those mofos who thought i was a boy...
